Privacy
Last updated: September 2026
Promptix (“we”, “our”, “us”) values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Promptix application (“App”), the websites promptix.app and apps.promptix.app, and related services.
1. Information We Collect
User-Provided Information: User Content (text you select, type, or paste to run a prompt in the App, in Prompt-as-App windows, or in the browser on apps.promptix.app — we do not keep a run history); Prompt Apps you create (title, description, prompt text, optional fields; private by default); Published Prompt Apps (the same fields plus author name, shown in the public catalog only after you turn on publication in settings); Library saves (Prompt Apps you store in your account); Account Information (email address and name received from the sign-in provider — we do not collect your password); Payment Information (processed by Stripe and, where available, local payment providers; we receive limited transaction metadata). Automatically Collected Information: device type, OS version, interface language; usage statistics and error logs; truncated IP address for security and rate-limiting; cookies and similar data needed to keep you signed in on the websites.
2. Cookies, Accounts, and API Keys
On the websites we use cookies and similar technologies to maintain a signed-in session, especially on apps.promptix.app. You may sign in with Google, GitHub, or Yandex; those providers share the account details they are configured to send, typically an email address and name. In the macOS app, API keys you add for AI providers are stored on your device and are not collected by us. We do not sell personal data.
3. How We Use Information
Provide, operate, and maintain the App and websites; process and return prompt results, including when you run a Prompt App in the browser; host the public catalog and display published Prompt Apps; manage your Library; diagnose and fix errors; improve functionality and analyze usage trends; manage accounts and authentication; process payments and subscriptions; and prevent abuse.
4. Legal Bases (GDPR)
Performance of a contract: providing and maintaining the App, websites, catalog, and account features. Legitimate interests: maintaining service security and improving user experience. Consent: optional features or communications, if implemented. A Prompt App stays private until you make it public in its settings.
5. Data Retention
We do not keep a history of prompt runs. User Content submitted to run a prompt is used to return a result and is not stored as a run log. Prompt Apps you create are stored in your account and are private by default. A Prompt App appears in the public catalog only after you turn on publication in its settings, and stays there until you turn publication off or delete the Prompt App. If you delete your account, all of your Prompt Apps are unpublished. Logs and analytics are retained for up to 12 months unless required longer for debugging or compliance. Account Information is retained while your account remains active, and deleted upon request or account closure.
6. Sharing & Disclosure
We share data with: third-party AI providers (e.g., OpenAI) to process User Content when you run a prompt; Stripe and, where available, local payment providers for payment processing; privacy-focused analytics providers (e.g., Plausible) for aggregated metrics; OAuth providers (Google, GitHub, Yandex, and, where available, Apple) for authentication. Private Prompt Apps are not shown in the catalog. If you make a Prompt App public in its settings, its title, description, author name, and prompt become visible to anyone. All service providers are required to adhere to applicable data protection laws (e.g., GDPR).
7. International Transfers
Data may be transferred and processed outside the EEA. Where applicable, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards to ensure lawful data transfers.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights including access, correction, deletion, or export of your personal data. You can unpublish a Prompt App in its settings or delete it. Deleting your account unpublishes all of your Prompt Apps. Contact us at admin@promptix.app to exercise your rights.
9. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and secure data handling practices. Do not publish confidential or personal information in a public Prompt App.
10. Children
Promptix is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify you via the App or our websites. E-mail: admin@promptix.app
