Promptix is a software service and related websites. The macOS app runs AI on selected text via a keyboard shortcut, or as a standalone Mac application (“Prompt as App”). The website apps.promptix.app is a web cabinet and public catalog where you can browse, run, save, and publish Prompt Apps. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Promptix application, the websites promptix.app and apps.promptix.app, and any related software or documentation (together, the “Service”). By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these Terms and agree to be bound by them.

By installing, accessing, or using the Service in any way — including the macOS app, promptix.app, or apps.promptix.app — you accept and agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must immediately discontinue use of the Service. You represent and warrant that you are of the age of majority in your jurisdiction and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. Promptix is provided by an individual developer, not a corporate entity, and references to “we,” “us,” or “our” in these Terms refer to the developer of Promptix.

3. Description of the Service

Promptix provides a macOS application that interacts with selected text through user-configured prompts and hotkeys. You can also save a prompt as a standalone Mac application (“Prompt as App”) and run it from Applications, Spotlight, Launchpad, or the Dock. The website apps.promptix.app is a web cabinet and catalog of Prompt Apps — named AI actions that include a title, a short description, an author, a prompt, and optional fields. On that site you may browse public listings, run a Prompt App in the browser, save apps to your Library, create and publish your own Prompt Apps, share them, and install them into the Promptix app. The Service may integrate with third-party APIs, including AI providers and authentication services. The developer does not control third-party services; data transmitted through them is subject to their terms and privacy policies. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or availability of third-party content or of Prompt Apps published by other users. Features and interfaces may change over time.

4. Accounts

Some catalog features require an account: saving Prompt Apps to your Library, publishing your own Prompt Apps, and running a Prompt App in the browser. You may sign in through third-party authentication providers (currently Google, GitHub, and Yandex). You are responsible for activity on your account and must not impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation. We may suspend or close an account if you breach these Terms.

5. User Content and Prompt Apps

You retain ownership of the Prompt Apps and other content you create. Prompt Apps are private by default. A Prompt App becomes public only if you turn on publication in its settings. If you publish a Prompt App, you grant Promptix a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, distribute, and allow others to view, save, install, and run that Prompt App as part of the Service. Public listings are visible to anyone. You represent that you have the rights to publish the content and that it is lawful. You must not publish content that is illegal, infringing, deceptive, harmful, or that contains others’ confidential information. We may remove, hide, or refuse listings at our discretion, including for legal, safety, or quality reasons. Prompt Apps published by other users are their content; we do not endorse them and are not responsible for their prompts, descriptions, or results.

6. License to Use

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Promptix software on devices that you own or control, and to access the websites for their intended purpose. This license is for your personal or internal use. It does not permit you to distribute, rent, sublicense, or resell the software, or to scrape the catalog to build a competing product. Publishing and sharing Prompt Apps through the catalog is allowed as described in these Terms. You may not alter, adapt, translate, or create derivative works based on the Promptix software, or remove proprietary notices. All rights not expressly granted are reserved by the developer.

7. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the Promptix software, websites, branding, and documentation are owned by us or our licensors. No rights to the Service are transferred to you except for the limited license expressly granted above. “Promptix” and related logos are trademarks of the developer, and no license to use them is granted under these Terms. Your Prompt Apps remain yours, subject to the license you grant us when you publish them. You may use other users’ published Prompt Apps through the Service (browse, run, save, install) and not as a standalone redistribution outside Promptix unless the author clearly permits it.

8. User Restrictions and Responsibilities

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in compliance with these Terms. In particular, you must not: engage in any unlawful activity; publish or share illegal, infringing, or harmful Prompt Apps; impersonate another author; attempt to reverse engineer or tamper with the Service; upload or distribute malware; interfere with the integrity or performance of Promptix; scrape the catalog or use the Service to create a competing product; or export or use the Service in violation of export control laws. You are responsible for all activity on your devices and accounts. You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims arising out of your content, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of these Terms.

9. Limitation of Liability and Disclaimers

The Service is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE”, without any warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. This includes AI-generated results and Prompt Apps published by other users. We expressly disclaim all warranties, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranties arising from course of dealing or usage. To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither the developer nor anyone else involved in creating or delivering Promptix shall be liable for any damages of any kind arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of the Service.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service, close your account, or remove published Prompt Apps at any time, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms or use the Service in an unlawful manner. You may unpublish a Prompt App in its settings. If you delete your account, all of your Prompt Apps are unpublished. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the Service and delete all copies of the software from your devices.

11. Changes to the Terms

We may modify or update these Terms at any time by posting the revised version in the Service or on our websites. The date of the last revision will be indicated at the top of these Terms. Your continued use of the Service following any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer is located, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that jurisdiction.
